中国医学科学院医药生物技术研究所创建于1958年，原名抗菌素研究所是国内*所现代化的微生物药物研究机构。研究所“微生物与生化药学”为国家重点学科。主要研究方向是：传染病、肿瘤、代谢疾病及免疫相关疾病等的药物，包括了基础、应用基础和应用性研究。研究所现有中国工程院院士1人、国务院学位委员会委员1人、长江学者特聘教授2人、国家杰出青年基金获得者4人、百千万*人选2人，*突贡专家１人，卫生部突贡专家4人、享受政府特殊津贴专家４人、博士生导师22人、硕士生导师33人、正高级职称专家30人。
