Energy Research Institute of Jiangxi Academy of Sciences

The Energy Research Institute of Jiangxi Academy of Sciences was established in 1980 and is a provincial-level scientific research institution in Jiangxi Province specializing in the research and development of energy and environmental protection technologies. Its main research directions include: energy strategy and low-carbon development, new energy and renewable energy, water pollution control and resource utilization, development of new energy-saving and environmental protection technologies and products, and computer information technology. It also carries out scientific and technological consulting and technical services such as environmental protection technology consulting, carbon emission verification, green factory and green park evaluation, clean development mechanism project development, and environmental treatment engineering. The institute currently has 66 employees, including 9 research professors, 12 associate research professors, and 20 Ph.D. holders.
It currently hosts the "Industrial Energy Conservation and Green Development Evaluation Center" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the "Jiangxi Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Water Pollution Control and Energy Utilization" of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, the "Jiangxi Provincial Low-Carbon Development Research Center" of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and the "Jiangxi Provincial Low-Carbon Energy Evaluation Engineering Research Center" of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission. It possesses the Jiangxi Provincial "Water Pollution Control and Resource Utilization" advantageous innovation team, and the academy's "Low-Carbon and New Energy Technology" and "Computer-Aided Design Technology" innovation teams. It is responsible for the Jiangxi Energy Research Association and the editing and publication of "Energy Research and Management."
Since its establishment, it has achieved more than 100 important scientific research results, of which 15 have won provincial and ministerial-level science and technology progress awards, more than 30 national patents and software copyrights have been obtained, more than 20 environmental protection treatment projects have been undertaken, and more than 400 scientific and technological consulting and technical service projects have been completed.
