China Metallurgical Geology Bureau (CMGB), established in 1952, is an administrative unit under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, specializing in geological exploration, research, development, and services of solid mineral resources, production of superhard materials, and manufacturing of mechanical equipment. With total assets exceeding 20 billion yuan, CMGB has submitted a large number of mineral resources for national economic construction since its establishment, discovering major mineral deposits such as the Anshan-Benxi iron mine, the eastern Hebei and Hanxing iron mines, the Edong copper-gold mine, the Luzhong iron mine, and the Jiaodong gold mine, making historic contributions to China's rise as a major steel producer and to the growth of industrial cities including Anshan, Baotou, and Ma'anshan. In recent years, it has conducted geological exploration in 14 key metallogenic belts in China, securing important resource reserves. CMGB has been awarded numerous honors, including the "Management Progress Enterprise Award" for central enterprises, National Geological Exploration Meritorious Unit, Advanced Collective in the Geological Exploration Industry, Top Ten Geological Prospecting Achievements (Scientific and Technological Progress) Award, and Special Contribution Award for Crisis Mine Replacement Resource Exploration. Simultaneously, CMGB actively implements the "Going Global" strategy and has achieved remarkable results in overseas geological exploration.
