AVIC Manufacturing Technology Institute

AVIC Manufacturing Technology Institute, affiliated with Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd., is located in Chaoyang District, Beijing. It primarily undertakes basic, applied, and engineering transformation research on aviation materials, manufacturing processes, and special equipment, providing substantial advanced manufacturing technologies and process equipment for the development of new aircraft and engines, as well as for technological upgrades of aviation enterprises. The institute governs two research institutes and one listed company, and hosts four national key laboratories, innovation centers, international joint R&D centers, and international science and technology cooperation bases, along with 14 provincial and ministerial key laboratories and industry centers. Over the years, it has won 69 national science and technology awards and more than 690 provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards, and has been credited 25 times for collective merit in model development and pre-research. The institute currently employs over 150 researchers, more than 700 senior engineers, over 200 doctoral graduates, more than 20 senior technicians, and over 180 technicians. It boasts a group of advanced manufacturing technology experts, including 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 national "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" candidate, 4 "Hundred, Thousand, Ten Thousand Talent Project" candidates, 27 experts enjoying special government allowances, 7 chief technical experts of AVIC, 26 special and first-level technical experts, and 10 chief and special-level skill experts of AVIC.
