Shanghai Weike Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was registered and established in December 2000, located in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, known as the "Medicine Valley". Its business scope covers the research and development of genetic drugs, production, and sales of self-produced products.
The company covers a total area of 27,356.7 m², with a first-phase total construction area of 11,895 m², of which the main workshop building area is 5,194 m², and is equipped with 5,426 m² of office buildings, engineering buildings, and animal rooms. The plant area was planned and designed by the world-renowned Italian design company STERIL S.P.A., with detailed design by Shanghai Pharmaceutical Industry Design Institute, and constructed strictly in accordance with national GMP, US FDA, and EU GMP standards. All production equipment, with a total value of 7.65 million euros, was imported from top European manufacturers.
The high starting point and high-standard design have established a modern new biopharmaceutical enterprise image for the company, and have laid a solid foundation for its products to enter the international market. Currently, all projects have passed acceptance, and the production workshop has passed the GMP certification of the Shanghai Food and Drug Administration.
The company's first-phase product "Tianenfuer - Recombinant Mutated Human Tumor Necrosis Factor (rhTNF-NC) for Injection" is a scientific research achievement of the Second Military Medical University, and obtained the National Class I New Drug Certificate for Biological Products issued by the National Food and Drug Administration in December 2003. It is mainly used for the treatment of malignant lymphoma, lung cancer, malignant melanoma, and malignant pleural and peritoneal effusion. In July 2004, the company obtained the production approval (National Drug Approval Number S20040048) and officially began production and sales.
After review by the Shanghai High-Tech Achievement Transformation Project Certification Office and the Shanghai High-Tech Achievement Transformation Service Center, the new recombinant mutated human tumor necrosis factor (rhTNF-NC) has been recognized as an A-level transformation project of Shanghai high-tech achievements.
