Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical Group was founded in May 1995 by Chairman Xiu Laigui. It is a large modern private pharmaceutical enterprise integrating scientific research, production, and marketing of proprietary Chinese medicines, chemical pharmaceuticals, and biopharmaceuticals, as well as chain operation of medicines and standardized cultivation of Chinese herbal medicines. While focusing on its main pharmaceutical business, it has also expanded into the health industry, tourism, and real estate, pursuing diversified development. While establishing a strong presence nationwide, it also faces the world, carrying out multi-field cooperation with Russia, South Korea, and other countries to develop international markets. The group has 76 wholly-owned and holding subsidiaries, with over 100,000 employees, a building area of 1.66 million square meters, and total assets of 12.8 billion yuan.

Xiuzheng boasts "three pharmaceutical groups, one health group, one development and construction group, and one tourism group" and "three well-known Chinese trademarks," forming a cluster development pattern of "fifteen sales platforms" and "thirty-three production bases (including pharmaceuticals, health products, and foods)." It produces "Sidashu," "Xiaomi Shuan," "Weidaning," "Yiqi Yangxue Oral Liquid," and other products in 23 dosage forms, with over 1,000 kinds of pharmaceuticals, nearly 1,000 health products, and cosmetics, which are sold well across the country. Owning the largest OTC market network in China, Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical Group has a national-level enterprise technology center, national engineering center, post-doctoral workstation, and branches in Beijing, Shenyang, and Shanghai. It has nearly 80 products with independent intellectual property rights and over 1,000 patents.

Since 2007, Xiuzheng has continuously increased investment in technological innovation and strengthened its technological innovation capabilities. It has not only invested over 1 billion yuan to build a new large-scale enterprise technology R&D center in Beijing, keeping abreast of international frontier technologies and processes in drug R&D, but has also successively invested over 2 billion yuan in R&D for highly effective drugs urgently needed by patients and suited to the actual pharmaceutical market in China, while continuing to improve and refine the processes and technologies of existing popular products that are well received by patients.

In addition to traditional pharmaceutical R&D, Xiuzheng is also actively entering the biopharmaceutical field, with the most representative product being the nearly completed recombinant urate oxidase drug for injection. Xiuzheng is also embarking on a series of projects such as Cordyceps sinensis fermentation and diagnostic reagent development, including biofunctional health care, diagnostic reagents for major diseases, and a series of detection reagents for eugenics, with products expected to be launched in the market within three years.

In 2012, Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical ranked second among the top 100 pharmaceutical enterprises in China. At the press conference held by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce on August 29, 2013, it ranked 70th among the top 500 private enterprises in China and 48th among the top 500 private manufacturing enterprises. The enterprise has successively received over a hundred honors, including "National Technological Innovation Demonstration Enterprise," "National Demonstration Enterprise for Trademark Strategy Implementation," and "Advanced Unit for National Quality Management."

Xiuzheng Pharmaceutical is committed to charity and social welfare, actively participating in disaster relief, anti-SARS efforts, and education donation activities.
