Mobis, along with Hyundai and Kia, is recognized as a key enterprise of the Hyundai Motor Group. Mobis has accumulated core strengths and established a solid position as a specialized automotive parts company through its businesses in automotive A/S parts sales, module parts manufacturing, and parts export. Since October 1999, when its module manufacturing division began supplying chassis modules for some Hyundai models, the company also took on the design of the driver's seat for the follow-up model of Kia's CARNIVAL in early 2001. This series of business activities has led to rapid development. The technical capability in module design is the core of its module business. To this end, Mobis has been actively conducting in-house research and has secured technical strength in the module parts field through technical cooperation with advanced foreign companies such as BOSCH and TEXTRON. Currently, leveraging this, Mobis mass-produces cutting-edge automotive parts including advanced airbags, ABS, and ESP that ensure driver safety, and actively enhances the international competitiveness of Korean automobiles. A/S parts sales are directly related to the company's profitability, which in turn is closely tied to the number of vehicles in operation. Currently, the number of Kia vehicles in operation domestically and internationally is approximately 20 million or more, which fully ensures Mobis's stable revenue during economic downturns. In the future, Mobis will build an efficient and fast automotive parts supply system through logistics rationalization and the transformation of its logistics base, thereby providing customers with optimal service. In June 2009, the former Hyundai Advanced Electronics (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. was renamed Tianjin Mobis Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. The company's main products include DVD digital video discs, AVN navigation units, Audio (MP3) players, AIRBAG ECU airbag control units, BCM electronic clock alarm control systems, PAS reverse radar systems, and AUTO Speed Sensor new automatic transmission speed sensors.
