Sinopec-China Shipping Marine Fuel Co., Ltd. is a joint venture jointly funded in December 2003 by China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) and China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (COSCO), two large state-owned enterprises directly under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), leveraging their respective industrial strengths and combining their advantages. The headquarters is located in Guangzhou, with branches (subsidiaries) in major coastal port cities across the country, including Haikou, Xiamen, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Shanghai, Qingdao, Tianjin, Qinhuangdao, Tangshan, Dalian, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhanjiang, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and others.
The company's main business includes the sales, storage, and transportation of fuel oil, refined oil, lubricants, bonded oil, and chemical and other petroleum products. Additionally, it provides ships at coastal ports with various fuel oil, diesel, lubricants, materials, spare parts, and fresh water supplies, as well as professional supporting services such as inspection and repair of marine life rafts and fire-fighting systems, and tank capacity calibration. By the end of 2017, the company's total assets were RMB 1.639 billion, with multiple oil depots, wharves, warehouses, and other facilities in major coastal port cities across the country. It owns 12 vessels, and its bunkering business covers major coastal ports and major ports along the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, making it one of the largest marine fuel suppliers in China.
