The Business School is located beside the verdant Yuelu Mountain, adjacent to the Yuelu Academy that has nurtured a thousand years of academic spirit; this millennium-old institution has fostered a century-old business discipline. The school currently has 6 departments: Management Science, Business Administration, Marketing, Information Management and E-commerce, Accounting, and Financial Management; it possesses 15 interdisciplinary research institutions including the Management Science Research Institute and the Zhongke Forecasting Science Research Center; it has 1 National Natural Science Foundation Innovation Group, 1 Innovation Team of the Ministry of Education's 'Changjiang Scholars and Innovation Team Development Plan', 1 * talent training model innovation experimental area, 1 * teaching team, 1 provincial-level key laboratory for humanities and social sciences, 2 Hunan provincial-level research bases, and 3 university-level laboratories; it has 4 * planned textbooks and 2 * excellent construction courses. The school now has 2 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 4 second-level discipline doctoral programs, 2 postdoctoral research mobile stations, 7 second-level discipline master's programs, as well as professional master's degree granting programs including Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc), Master of Asset Valuation, and Master of Auditing, and 7 undergraduate majors. It has established a complete three-level talent training system from bachelor's to doctoral degrees.
