After more than ten years of continuous independent innovation and industrial integration, as of 2023, Haohai Shengke has completed the industry reorganization of biomedical materials represented by intraocular lenses, medical sodium hyaluronate/sodium hyaluronate (glass sodium), and medical chitosan, achieving the industrialization of innovative genetic engineering drugs (national Class I new drugs) such as recombinant human epidermal growth factor for external use, and thus gaining leading advantages in four main business areas: ophthalmology, plastic surgery and wound care, orthopedics, and anti-adhesion and hemostasis.
According to series of reports released by Guangzhou Biaodian Pharmaceutical Information Co., Ltd., as of 2022, Haohai Shengke has been the market share champion in domestic ophthalmic viscoelastic agents and surgical anti-adhesion agents for 16 consecutive years, ranked first in domestic market share of joint cavity viscoelastic supplements for 9 consecutive years, and maintained the position of the second largest manufacturer of external human epidermal growth factor in China for 9 consecutive years. In the field of intraocular lenses, based on the annual cataract surgery data calculated by China Blind Prevention Network, Haohai Shengke's market share in the intraocular lens field is about 30%. Haohai Shengke has two products that won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and has established a national-level enterprise technology center, a national-level post-doctoral scientific research workstation, two national-level R&D platforms, as well as multiple provincial and ministerial-level technology and R&D transformation platforms and a Shanghai academician expert workstation. It has also established a global-linked R&D system in China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Israel. As of the end of 2022, Haohai Shengke has undertaken 12 major national-level projects from the Ministry of Science and Technology and more than 40 major Shanghai science and technology R&D projects, applied for more than 500 patents in total, including 100 granted invention patents and dozens of international invention patents (covering the United States, European Union, Japan, South Korea, Spain and other countries and regions), and drafted or participated in the revision of 10 industry standards for biomedical materials and medical devices.
Haohai Shengke has independently built four biomedical material R&D platforms: intraocular lenses and optometric materials, medical chitosan, medical sodium hyaluronate/sodium hyaluronate (glass sodium), and external recombinant human epidermal growth factor.
