本单位为中国铁道科学研究院标准计量研究所下属的接触网零部件检验站，主要从事电气化铁路接触网器材的产品检验、标准制定、产品认定、监督抽查、上道抽查、科研以及事故分析等工作。检验站上级主管部门为铁道部科技司，同时还是中铁铁路产品认证中心下属实验室之一。检验站通过了国家实验室认可及国家资质认定，是国内试验手段*全、分析能力*强的电气化牵引供电产品权威检测机构，设备能力处于路内领先，部分设备达到国际一流。
