装卸工要在码头露天作业，且很多都需要付出很大体力，因此要求工人能吃苦，不怕脏。公司业务量很大，没有没活干的情况，工资实行多劳多得、上不封顶。
主要作业货物情况：作业货物主要有散装货和小包装货。散装货就是一些煤炭之类的，主要靠机械作业，人力辅助；小包装有25公斤，50公斤和吨袋。吨袋重量为1吨左右，*终不超过1.2吨，吨袋全部有机械作业，人力辅助（为挂钩作业）。其他种类货物如钢管，钢筋之类，数量较少。
