湛江*中学金沙湾学校的前身是湛江金沙湾新城学校，是由广东万象实业集团有限公司（以下简称公司）于2002年9月创办的一所民办学校，学校教育教学教研成绩显着。近几年来，小学毕业统考位居全区*，中考成绩名列赤坎区*、湛江市前茅；教师参加*、省级、市级、区级以上各种教学竞赛获奖及论文发表400余人次；教师参加广东省中小学教学教研“十一五”、“十二五”规划课程研究的多个课题（子课题）的研究，取得丰硕成果。
