Chongqing Electronic Information Vocational College was approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government with document Yu Fu Han [2009] No. 27. Chongqing Electronic Information Vocational College optimized its professional categories, reintegrated its teaching resources, and runs the school with brand-new concepts, keeping up with industry development to offer majors. In 2012, the college enrolled students in 21 majors, covering 23 major directions, mainly involving electronic communications, automobile manufacturing, culture and media, radio and television, economic management, computer applications, architectural engineering, intelligent buildings, and other industry fields. The majors offered by the college are those for high-quality and highly skilled talents urgently needed by Chongqing and the whole country, and are also major majors in the top ten hot industries in recent years and in the future. Graduates can not only apply what they have learned, but also achieve quality employment.

　　The college has a stable team of professional backbone teachers. At present, there are more than 378 faculty members, including 30 full professors, 81 associate professors and senior engineers, and teachers with master's degrees or above account for more than 70% of the total number of teachers. The main force of the school-running management team and the team of leaders in professional fields comes from former division- and regiment-level leaders, educational and teaching management cadres, master's supervisors, and expert professors who left PLA Chongqing Communication College. The backbone teachers come from Binxin College of PLA Chongqing Communication College. Professor Shen Zhifu, former president of PLA Chongqing Communication College, outstanding education expert of the first全军, and master's supervisor, serves as the president of the college. These include public basic training rooms such as the computer basic training center and voice training room; the automobile training center, electronic information training center, communication training center, culture and media training center, construction economic management training center, and certification training center. At present, it has reached comprehensive school-enterprise cooperation agreements with more than 60 enterprises such as ZTE, BUPT, China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, Dongfeng Xiaokang, and Chongqing Lifan in aspects such as internship base construction, curriculum development, teacher training, and student employment.
