Shenzhen Shipping Group Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Shenzhen Shipping) was established in 1982 and is headquartered in Shenzhen. It is a comprehensive port and shipping enterprise established after the founding of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and also the first shipping enterprise in Shenzhen to undergo mixed-ownership reform. It is currently one of the companies controlled by Kaisa Group. Shenzhen Shipping has a long history in the port and shipping industry in Shenzhen. It has participated in the compilation of a series of national management standards for high-speed passenger vessels and has passed the first-level safety production standardization enterprise evaluation by the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China (only 8 in the country). Shenzhen Shipping also holds honors such as "Outstanding Enterprise in the Transportation Industry of Guangdong Province," "Top Ten Logistics Enterprises in Shenzhen," "Well-known Brand of Shenzhen," and "Top Ten Units in Corporate Culture Construction in Shenzhen."
After 40 years of deep cultivation in the maritime industry, Shenzhen Shipping's business has covered multiple fields including high-speed maritime passenger transport in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, ocean and coastal freight logistics, coastal tourism, and real estate investment and development, accumulating a complete industrial chain of resources from ships to terminals and from shipping to tourism. At the same time, Shenzhen Shipping has always played the role of a pioneer and innovator, and has consistently played an active role in Shenzhen's marine economic development and its journey toward becoming a global marine center city.
Since 2012, Shenzhen Shipping has embraced diversified development. In terms of passenger transport, it currently possesses one of the largest high-speed maritime passenger fleets in Shenzhen and among the top in the country (in terms of passenger capacity), with a fleet size of 20 vessels. Since the earliest passenger route from Shekou, Shenzhen to Jiuzhou Port, Zhuhai was opened in 1983, it has owned and operated 14 fixed maritime passenger and tourism routes, with over 110 daily sailings connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Its annual waterway passenger volume accounts for more than half of Shenzhen's total waterway passenger transport volume. In terms of freight transport, it has formed a strategic pattern centered on ocean timber transportation, with coal, cement, fertilizer, steel, and equipment as its main business contents. Its routes extend from domestic coastal and Yangtze River ports to Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Russia, Japan, South Korea, as well as Southeast Asia, Africa, South America and other regions, with an annual cargo volume exceeding 5 million tons. In terms of coastal tourism, leveraging its existing industrial resource advantages in port and shipping and tourism, it has gradually developed diversified cultural and sports tourism projects such as island destination tourism, maritime sightseeing, yacht business leisure, water sports, and seaside resort hotels, continuously accelerating the layout of the entire coastal tourism industry chain to fully satisfy people's aspirations for coastal living.
Adapting to the changes of the times, under the leadership of Kaisa Group, Shenzhen Shipping leverages its existing land reserves for urban renewal and its development of port and terminal complexes to accelerate investment and operation in urban renewal, port terminals, tourism real estate, and characteristic towns, actively expanding new business growth points. Currently, it has invested in and developed the urban renewal project located in the Futian Free Trade Zone of Shenzhen—Kaisa Shipping Mangrove Bay, the cultural tourism project located in the Shantou area—Nan'ao Island Qianjiang Bay Project, and the residential project located in Huiyang, Huizhou—Kaisa Qiuyue Huafu.
As a large regional diversified comprehensive port and shipping group, Shenzhen Shipping will always walk alongside Shenzhen and advance together with the motherland, firmly grasping the major historical opportunities of the "dual-zone drive" of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Pilot Demonstration Area of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. With "Safety, Professionalism, Innovation, and Responsibility" as its core corporate values, and with an international perspective, it will unswervingly uphold the corporate spirit of "Safety, Quality, and Efficiency," actively participate in urban transportation development and construction, and strive to make greater contributions to promoting industrial integration and upgrading, facilitating urban development, and enhancing the value of people's lives.
