Hunan CITIC Communication Co., Ltd. is a provincial-level communication subsidiary of China CITIC Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as CITIC Group), with a registered capital of RMB 350 million.
CITIC Group was founded on October 4, 1979 by former Vice President Rong Yiren, under the personal initiative and approval of Deng Xiaoping, the chief architect of China's reform and opening-up. CITIC Group serves as a window for China's opening to the outside world, establishing a good reputation and image both domestically and internationally, and has made significant contributions to the nation's reform and opening-up cause. The communications sector is a new business area that CITIC Group has been dedicated to developing in recent years. Among these, CITIC Network Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CITIC Group, has obtained qualification from the Ministry of Information Industry for nationwide network element leasing, sales, and ISP operation.
In October 2003, approved by the Ministry of Information Industry and filed with the Hunan Provincial Communications Administration, CITIC Network Co., Ltd. authorized Hunan CITIC Communication Co., Ltd. to operate the aforementioned telecommunications businesses in Hunan Province. Hunan CITIC currently possesses communication network resources covering 14 prefecture-level cities (autonomous prefectures) and 122 counties (cities/districts) in Hunan Province, achieving 100% administrative regional network coverage and forming the overall framework of Hunan Province's communication network.
Leveraging the strong support of its parent company in capital, brand, and policy, the company has initially established a brand image as an emerging communication service enterprise in Hunan's communication industry, characterized by "leading technology and customer first," and has attracted the attention of numerous domestic and international investors. Currently, multiple North American companies have expressed strong intentions for cooperation.
As a window enterprise of reform and opening-up, CITIC Group has always been adept at international cooperation.
