Guangzhou Factory of Midea Home Air Conditioning (Guangzhou Hualing Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd.) is one of the six major production bases under Midea's Home Air Conditioning Division, responsible for the production and supply of air conditioners for the domestic South China market and export. It is a large enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of household air conditioners, with a registered capital of 640 million yuan and an annual sales revenue of 7 billion yuan. Located at No. 6 Meide First Road, Pearl River Industrial Park, Nansha District, Guangzhou, the factory was laid with its foundation on May 28, 2010, and officially completed and put into operation in September 2011. It consists of four plants: Plant No. 1, Plant No. 2, Electronics Plant No. 3, and one warehouse, with a total site area of 196,020 square meters. Currently, the Guangzhou factory has over 3,000 employees and 18 assembly lines, of which 16 are for indoor and outdoor units of split air conditioners, with an annual production capacity of 5.5 to 6 million sets of air conditioners, focusing on medium to high-end products. The products cover 85% of the domestic and export product lines, including split units, ceiling cassette units, heat pump heaters, kitchen air conditioners, and cabinet units in various models and series. In 2015, the factory invested in building two fully automated production lines. In 2018, the industrial Internet project was implemented at the Guangzhou site, with three initial goals: to pilot the Group's industrial Internet at the Nansha factory, to centrally apply and showcase the Group's intelligent technology products, and to address the operational pain points of the Nansha factory.
