China Southern Airlines Company Limited is an air transportation main business company initiated and established by China Southern Air Holding Company, based on the former China Southern Airlines, and reorganized together with China Northern Airlines and Xinjiang Airlines. It is an airline initiated, established and controlled by China Southern Air Holding Company. China Southern Airlines Company Limited listed its shares simultaneously in New York and Hong Kong in 1997, and successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2003. China Southern Airlines Company Limited, together with Air China Limited and China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited, are collectively known as the three major airline groups in China. On October 15, 2011, China Southern Airlines took delivery of an Airbus A380 at Capital Airport, becoming the first airline in China and the seventh in the world to operate the Airbus A380.
