池州九华山机场位于贵池区梅龙街道，距池州市区、铜陵市区和九华山风景区柯村基地均为20公里左右，距长江约3公里，处于安徽省江南产业集中区规划核心区域。
机场占地2400亩，近期飞行区规划等级为4C，航站楼面积11700?（含国际部分7600?），一条跑道2400m×45m，共设5个机位。跑道主降方向（北端）设I类精密进近仪表着陆系统，相应配套建设飞行区、航管、通信、导航、航站区、货运区、工作区、航油及机场公用设施等，可起降B737系列和A320系列飞机，远期飞行区规划等级为4D。
九华山机场于2009年8月开工建设，2013年2月完成校飞、4月完成试飞，6月通过行业验收。2013年7月29日，机场正式通航。
