In 2013, Beidu Biotechnology was approved by the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Wuhan National Bioindustry Base Construction Management Office to establish the Hubei Provincial Human Cell Bank and the Wuhan National Bioindustry Base Biological Sample Bank, obtaining qualifications for the preservation of cells and other biological samples, and jointly built the Wuhan University People's Hospital Cell Preservation Bank with Wuhan University People's Hospital. This bank is a public technology platform for biological sample preservation and biological resource development and services in Hubei Province.
