Sinopec Wuhan Company

Sinopec Wuhan Company (abbreviated as Wuhan Company) and Sinopec Group Asset Management Co., Ltd. Wuhan Company (abbreviated as Wuhan Asset Company), collectively known as Wuhan Petrochemical, is a large industrial enterprise directly under Sinopec Group. Its predecessor was Wuhan Petrochemical Plant, founded in 1971 and put into operation in 1977. The refining section of Wuhan Petrochemical is located in Qingshan District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province, covering an area of 239 hectares, adjacent to the Yangtze River waterway to the north, with extremely convenient water and land transportation; the Wuhan 800,000 tons/year ethylene project (under construction) is located in Bajifu area, Jianshe Township, Hongshan District, covering an area of 294.8 hectares.
Wuhan Company currently has a crude oil primary processing capacity of 8.5 million tons/year, a comprehensive supporting capacity of 6.5 million tons/year, and 28 production units. Main products include: gasoline, kerosene for lamps, 3# jet aviation fuel, light diesel oil, naphtha, solvent oil, alkylbenzene feedstock, naphthenic acid, MTBE, special heavy oil, fuel oil, industrial flake sulfur, petroleum coke, polypropylene resin, "three benzene", petroleum liquefied gas and other 25 products, which are sold in 12 provinces and regions including Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Chongqing, etc.
At present, Wuhan Petrochemical is fully promoting the construction of the 800,000 tons/year ethylene and 8 million tons/year oil upgrading and refining transformation projects. After the two major projects are completed and put into operation in the first half of 2013, Wuhan Petrochemical will enter the ranks of large-scale refining and chemical integration enterprises with a capacity of 10 million tons. By the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", the comprehensive refining processing capacity is expected to reach 10 million tons/year, and the ethylene production capacity will reach 1 million tons/year
