Hunan University Press is an academic professional press under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by Hunan University. It was established in 1995. It mainly publishes textbooks, teaching references, monographs, reference books and general readings related to the university's disciplines, with more than 120 new books published annually. Hunan University Press is located at the foot of the scenic Yuelu Mountain, situated at the thousand-year-old Yuelu Academy, rooted in the rich academic and cultural soil of Hunan University, and inheriting the pragmatic and enterprising fine tradition of Huxiang culture. Since its establishment, it has embarked on a path of steady development. Over the past 8 years, dozens of books have won various awards such as provincial and ministerial-level excellent book awards, and the annual number of book titles published, annual distribution revenue, and annual profit have grown steadily. Hunan University Press currently has nearly 40 employees, with offices including the General Office, the Editorial Office, the Science and Engineering, Social Sciences, and Literature-History-Foreign Languages, Project Development Editorial Offices, the Publication Department, the Distribution Department, and the Finance Department.
