On September 16, 2004, with the approval of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, Taiping Insurance Hunan Branch successfully opened, and established corresponding institutions and service outlets in all cities and prefectures across the province. Currently, it has 11 third-level institutions, 5 fourth-level institutions, and 3 marketing service departments.
In September 2005, Taiping General Insurance Hunan Branch invested in and purchased a 2,270 square meter office space, becoming one of the few companies in Hunan's insurance industry to own its own office space. In August 2009, Hunan Branch was officially renamed Taiping General Insurance Co., Ltd. Hunan Branch.
The company has a professional and youthful employee team, and most of the management staff are senior professionals who have long been engaged in finance and insurance work. After more than ten years of development, Taiping General Insurance Hunan Branch, with the business philosophy of "entering the market with integrity," has occupied an important position in Hunan's insurance market.
Our company was rated as a Trustworthy Consumer Unit for 2006, a Contract-honoring and Credit-worthy Unit by the Changsha Administration for Industry and Commerce in 2006, a Hunan Province Consumer Rights Demonstration Unit for 2007-2008, and an Advanced Unit in Provincial Social Security Comprehensive Management from 2008 to 2009. At the same time, in the claims service quality evaluation organized by the Hunan Insurance Regulatory Bureau, our company was rated as a Class A institution for four consecutive years (2013-2016). In the detection and classified evaluation of three indicators—business operation risk indicators, compliance risk indicators, and internal control risk indicators—of insurance branch institutions in Hunan Province by the Hunan Insurance Regulatory Bureau, our company was rated as a Class A institution for four consecutive years (2011-2014). In the 2011 evaluation of solvency and risk management work of Hunan insurance companies by the Hunan Insurance Regulatory Bureau, our company was rated as an Advanced Unit in Solvency Management Work for 2011. It has also successively obtained the title of "Contract-honoring and Credit-worthy" Unit issued by the Changsha Administration for Industry and Commerce in 2011, the "Contract-honoring and Credit-worthy" Unit issued by the Hunan Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce in 2012, the "Contract-honoring and Credit-worthy" Unit issued by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, and the honorary title of "Hunan Top 100 Integrity Brands." For two consecutive years (2014 and 2015), it was rated as an "Advanced Unit in Solvency Risk Management Work" by the Insurance Regulatory Bureau. In 2014, it was rated as a "Hunan Integrity Enterprise" and "Hunan Top 100 Integrity Brand." On January 20, 2016, the summary meeting of the third Hunan Enterprise Integrity Construction Theme Activity, jointly organized by the Hunan Contract-honoring and Credit-worthy Enterprise Association and the Hunan Credit Construction Promotion Association, was held in the Jiushuo Hall of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee. Taiping General Insurance Hunan Branch was once again selected as a "Hunan Integrity Enterprise" and "Hunan Top 100 Integrity Brand," and was publicly announced in Hunan Daily. In 2017, it was rated as a "Hunan Integrity Enterprise" and "Hunan Enterprise Integrity Construction Advanced Unit." In April 2017, Taiping Insurance Group and the Hunan Provincial People's Government signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement in Hong Kong.
