We are a leading design, survey and consulting company in China's urban rail transit industry. We provide design, survey and consulting services as well as engineering contracting services. We provide design, survey and consulting services for urban rail transit (our core business), and have expanded our services to include design, survey and consulting for industrial, civil and municipal projects related to urban rail transit. Our engineering contracting business specializes in construction contracting services for urban rail transit. Our integrated business segments allow us to provide comprehensive business solutions covering all key stages of the urban rail transit project value chain. We have the longest operating history in China's urban rail transit industry, dating back to 1958, when we were established to provide design and survey services for Beijing Subway Line 1, China's first subway route. According to CCID Consulting, as of December 31, 2013, we ranked first in terms of total operating mileage of design general contracting services for urban rail transit lines in China, and ranked first in the total value of new contracts in the design, survey and consulting segment of China's urban rail transit industry in 2013. In addition, we hold the comprehensive Grade A qualification required for design and survey operations, which, according to the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, is the highest qualification in the design and survey field in China. We have an extensive business network across China. Our headquarters are in Beijing, and we have branches and engineering departments in 29 other cities across China. Our marketing team includes 71 sales personnel in the operation departments at our Beijing headquarters and multiple branches across China. Design, survey and consulting: Design, survey and consulting have been the core principal business of our company, primarily providing services related to urban rail transit projects, and secondarily for industrial, civil and municipal projects. We provide design, survey and consulting services through five professional design departments (each with its own expertise). In addition, five of our subsidiaries also provide specific design, survey and consulting services, including survey and mapping services, engineering quality inspection services, technical consulting and construction drawing review services. As of December 31, 2013, we had undertaken design, survey and consulting services in 29 cities across China. We have led or participated in the compilation of multiple national and industry technical specifications and standards for urban rail transit. Engineering contracting: Our engineering contracting business focuses on engineering projects in the urban rail transit industry. We provide services in two business models: (1) construction general contracting (procurement-construction), where we are responsible for overall procurement and execution of construction works according to the owner's plan and schedule; and (2) engineering general contracting (engineering, procurement, and construction), where we are responsible for the entire process or certain stages of the engineering project. As of December 31, 2013, the company had participated in engineering contracting projects for 29 urban rail transit lines nationwide, including 61 stations and 69 sections. The engineering contracting projects we undertake span major Chinese cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Hangzhou, and Dalian.
