Shengyang Food (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. is a wholly foreign-owned enterprise, established with capital injection in July 2003. It is an affiliated enterprise inheriting from the large Taiwanese meat product processing and export group Shing Kong Industrial Co., Ltd. and Fujian Zhangzhou Xinhua Food Co., Ltd. It is one of the key enterprises of Wuhan's "Safe Meat" project and one of the leading enterprises in Wuhan's meat products industry. The company is located in Yangluo Economic Development Zone, with the Yangtze River to the south, 1 km from the Wuhan International Container Shipping Center Port, 26 km from Hankou Railway Station, and 30 km from Wuhan Tianhe Airport, enjoying very convenient water, land, and air transportation. The company covers an area of over 160 mu. With a total construction area of 14,400 m², it officially commenced production in September 2004 and has a 4,399 m² slaughtering and cutting workshop. On July 8, 2007, the company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of its new construction project to build a cooked products production workshop. The company is mainly engaged in pig slaughtering and the processing and sales of meat products. It has introduced advanced and practical production equipment from Taiwan. The company has an annual capacity of slaughtering 600,000 pigs and producing 60,000 tons of raw meat. Currently, it mainly produces chilled fresh meat, which is transported through a full cold chain to major supermarkets and specialty stores in Wuhan to meet the citizens' demand for high-quality safe meat.
