Shanghai Spring International Travel Service (Group) Co., Ltd. was founded in 1981 and now has over 2,000 employees and tour guides, with more than 40 domestic and overseas subsidiaries (branches) and over 50 wholly-owned chain stores in Shanghai. Its business covers tourism, aviation, hotel reservation, air tickets, conferences, exhibitions, business, personal exit-entry, and sports events. It is the earliest member of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) among Chinese travel agencies, the designated reception unit for the organizing committee of the 53rd, 54th, and 55th Miss World pageants, and the agent for domestic and overseas tickets of the F1 racing China Grand Prix. From 1994 to 2008, it consecutively ranked first in domestic tourism in the national double hundred list issued by the China National Tourism Administration. From 2011 to 2013, it ranked first in the "National Top 100 Travel Agencies". It is the first travel agency in China to wholly own an airline company.
