China Eastern Air Holding Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as "China Eastern"), headquartered in Shanghai, is one of the three major state-owned backbone air transportation groups in China. China Eastern is the global launch customer for the domestically produced large aircraft C919 and is currently the airline with the largest C919 fleet and the most commercial destinations served by C919 aircraft.

In China, China Eastern operates dual-core hubs in Beijing and Shanghai with "two cities and four airports" and regional hubs such as Xi'an and Kunming, with business coverage achieving full coverage of provincial capital cities and airports with an annual passenger throughput of over 10 million. As a member of SkyTeam, China Eastern has built a route network reaching over 1,000 destinations in more than 160 countries and regions worldwide, providing air travel services to over 140 million passengers annually, ranking among the top ten globally.
