The Knorr-Bremse Group based in Munich is the world’s leading manufacturer of braking systems and supplier of additional sub-systems for rail and commercial vehicles. The Commercial Vehicle Systems division offers its customers braking systems for trucks, buses, trailers and agricultural machinery. In the chassis systems sector, Knorr-Bremse is a leading player in electronic controls and driver assistance systems as well as in air supply systems. Other product fields include steering systems, powertrain-related systems and torsional vibration dampers for diesel engines.

To be able to respond to the increasing demand and ever higher standards of Chinese Mass Transit (MT) and mainline railway systems (LD), In 2005 a WOFE with high quality standard manufacturing basis with full operational functions including sales, project management, engineering and procurement is already established and in full operation in Suzhou New District, China. With its new facility in Suzhou, Knorr-Bremse is now in a strong position to lead developments in the rapidly developing Chinese market and can meet increasing requirements for mass transit projects as well as mainline developments whenever in China.
