Sundia MediTech (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., located in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, Pudong New Area, Shanghai—China's Pharmaceutical Valley, was founded in 2004 in Shanghai by a group of highly experienced scientific and management elites from the U.S. biomedical industry. Based in Shanghai, it provides excellent and efficient "one-stop" new drug R&D and production services to global pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology firms.
Sundia's new drug R&D outsourcing services cover most key stages of drug discovery and development, including molecular design, screening, optimization, synthesis, chemical process research and scale-up, chemical analysis and testing, pharmaceutical formulation research, molecular diagnostics services, pharmacology, efficacy, pharmacokinetics, safety evaluation, and cGMP-compliant production of high potency active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and dosage forms, integrating laboratory R&D with cGMP manufacturing. Leveraging its self-established new drug R&D service platform, the company has conducted comprehensive R&D collaborations with over 100 pharmaceutical companies from both domestic and international markets over the past decade, identifying 8 different drug candidates for partners, several of which have entered preclinical research stages.
With rapid development over the past decade, the company has continuously expanded, growing its laboratory area from an initial 500 square meters to the current 20,000 square meters, equipped with first-class scientific research and production facilities. Currently, the company employs approximately 700 staff, with over 93% of R&D personnel holding bachelor's degrees or above, and more than 10% of them are high-level returnees from overseas.
