bioMérieux was founded in 1963 and, relying on its own technological innovation and industrial production resources, has always been committed to in vitro diagnostic products for medical and industrial use. bioMérieux's diagnostic systems consist of reagents, instruments, and software, designed mainly around four strategic areas: infectious diseases, industrial microbiology, cardiovascular diseases, and oncology.
As the main core business of the Institut Mérieux, bioMérieux's mission is to contribute to global public health through in vitro diagnostics. bioMérieux's two main business areas:
Clinical Diagnostics: mainly infectious diseases, also including oncology and cardiovascular emergencies.
Industrial Microbiology: food, pharmaceuticals, animal health, and cosmetics.
