Organization Overview: Shenzhen Dongxifang Social Work Service Agency was approved by the Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau on November 30, 2007, as the fourth non-governmental professional social work service organization, and was also the earliest professional service organization in Shenzhen to obtain government-purchased social work services. It has been awarded the title of "Shenzhen Excellent Social Work Service Organization." After 6 years of development, Shenzhen Dongxifang Social Work Service Agency currently has 79 social work positions and 22 community service centers, with service areas spanning Longgang District, Luohu District, Futian District, Nanshan District, and Bao'an District, covering fields including education, civil affairs, community, population and family planning, letters and visits, and enterprises, making it one of the larger social work organizations in the city. It has trained 9 local junior supervisors, and has more than 230 employees. Among them, there is 1 Director-General, 1 Assistant Director-General, 3 Directors, 10 administrative staff, 167 frontline social workers (including 20 supervisory assistants and 22 center directors), and 44 administrative support staff at community service centers. It also has the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society and the Hong Kong Social Service Development Research Center as consultants providing strong support. Institutional Culture: Dongxifang Core System.
