CCTEG Shanghai Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Company), founded in 1959, is a major comprehensive technical research institution in China's coal industry and a manufacturer of coal mine electromechanical products. In 2008, along with the China Coal Research Institute, it became a subsidiary enterprise under the China Coal Technology & Engineering Group Corp., a central enterprise directly under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. Since 2004, it has been recognized as a high-tech enterprise by Shanghai Municipality. Shanghai Company has professional research departments for mining and excavation machinery, mechanical technology, electrical automation technology, and engineering and hydraulic technology equipment. It possesses long-term advantages in the fields of mining, excavation, transportation, electricity, hydraulics, and trenchless technology for urban underground engineering. It is the designated unit in China's coal industry for coal mining machinery, electrical technology, and hydraulic technology.
