Chia Tai Group was founded in 1921. It is a well-known multinational enterprise founded by a Thai Chinese, known as Charoen Pokphand Group outside China. Wuhan Chia Tai Co., Ltd. is one of the top ten foreign-funded projects key introduced by the municipal government. It is a large modern agricultural and livestock enterprise jointly established by Wuhan Animal Husbandry Development Company and Chia Tai (China) Investment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Chia Tai Group. The company was completed and put into production in February 1993, with a registered capital of US$3.75 million and an area of about 100 mu. The company has a feed factory with an annual output of 240,000 tons and a premix workshop with an annual output of 60,000 tons.
