Company Overview
Nanjing NARI-Relays Electric Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NARI Relays") is mainly engaged in the research and development and industrialization of power protection and control systems and intelligent power equipment for power grids, power plants, and various industrial and mining enterprises. It serves as the supporting unit of the "National Energy Power Control and Protection Technology R&D (Experiment) Center" of the National Energy Administration.
The industrialization base and process research center for intelligent primary power equipment of NARI Relays is located in Changzhou, namely Changzhou Borui Power Automation Equipment Co., Ltd., which primarily focuses on the design, service, testing, and production of a series of high-end power equipment such as UHV DC converter valves, multi-terminal flexible DC converter valves, unified power flow controllers (UPFC), various FACTS products, and ultra-high voltage measurement systems. Borui Power currently covers an area of over 400 mu, employs more than 1,400 people, and its operating revenue in 2017 was nearly RMB 1.6 billion.
Borui Power has established the Jiangsu Provincial Flexible Transmission and Transformation Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center, the Jiangsu Provincial Academician Workstation, and the Jiangsu Provincial Postgraduate Workstation. It has also independently developed and built flexible DC transmission system test platforms, static var generator system test platforms, and other comprehensive power electronics test platforms, possessing complete system integration and simulation testing capabilities, and boasts a UHV electrical test laboratory with 1650kV AC and 2400kV DC capabilities. In recent years, it has successively undertaken the development and supply of core equipment for multiple major national projects, including the ±1100kV Changji-Guquan UHV project, more than ten ±800kV UHV projects such as Shanghai Temple-Linyi, the Zhejiang Zhoushan ±200kV five-terminal flexible DC transmission project, and the Suzhou Southern 500kV unified power flow controller project. Overseas, it has undertaken key projects such as the Brazilian Belo Monte ±800kV UHV DC transmission project and the Canadian 735kV series compensation project. Its products have been widely applied in power grids, power plants, new energy, rail transit, industrial and mining sectors, and exported to more than 30 countries and regions including Canada, Brazil, Russia, Japan, South Africa, and South Korea.
Development Plan
Borui Power will continue to take science and technology as the guide, product innovation as the core, information-based management as the means, and scientifically organized talents as the guarantee, and continue to pursue a path of development and innovation. During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the company will further accelerate the R&D of cutting-edge technology products in fields such as UHV and flexible AC/DC transmission, and further enhance its comprehensive scientific research and testing capabilities and industrialization scale. Currently, it is building a smart grid R&D and assembly base covering an area of over 200 mu, with the first phase scheduled to commence production by the end of 2018, and full completion by the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period.
