Nanjing NARI-Relays Electric Co., Ltd. is located in the Nanjing Jiangning (National) Economic and Technological Development Zone. It is mainly engaged in the research and industrialization of power protection control and intelligent power equipment for power grids, power plants, and various industrial and mining enterprises. It is the largest scientific research and industrialization base in this field in China and one of the top five suppliers of relay protection equipment for power systems globally. In 2010, the National Energy Administration established the "National Energy Research (Experimental) Center for Power Control and Protection Technology" at NARI-Relays. With original theoretical research results and invention patents such as the "Power Frequency Variation Principle Relay Protection" founded by Academician Shen Guorong, NARI-Relays has continuously innovated in technology and formed a technical system for power system protection and control consisting of a series of patented and proprietary technologies. The market share of NARI-Relays' core products in the domestic market ranks first in the industry. Among them, relay protection products have a domestic market share of over 40% at voltage levels of 220kV and above. The products are widely used in key national projects such as the Three Gorges power transmission and transformation, "West-to-East Power Transmission", Beijing Olympic Games, and Shanghai World Expo, and have been successfully promoted to more than 90 countries and regions worldwide, with direct sales accounting for over 65%. NARI-Relays' technologies in relay protection, large power grid security and stability control, UHV AC/DC transmission, and flexible AC/DC transmission continue to maintain a leading position. Its related equipment, known for its advanced nature, practicality, and reliability, has improved the safe, stable, economical, and efficient operation level of China's power grid, making significant contributions to China's power technology progress and economic development.
