长安电力华中发电有限公司系陕西煤业化工集团有限责任公司全资子公司，是在集团公司实施多元互补发展、推进煤电一体化战略背景下成立的电力区域管理单位，注册地湖南省长沙市。公司负责管理、运营陕煤化集团华中区域（湖南、湖北）6个控、参股火力发电企业，以实现区域电力产业的规模化、集约化、专业化和协同化发展。
目前，公司三家控股电厂分别是：长安益阳发电有限公司、大唐石门发电有限公司、华电石门发电有限公司。总装机容量3250MW，规模位居湖南火电企业第二位。
