Development History
In 1954, James McLamore and David Edgerton jointly founded the first "Burger King" restaurant in Miami, Florida, USA. Burger King has branches in Shijiazhuang, Baotou, Hohhot, Beijing, Wuhan, Tianjin, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hefei, Xi'an, Shenyang, Changchun, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Changzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Chengdu, Dalian, Anshan, Kunming, Harbin, Yantai, Huizhou, Dongguan, Ankang, Haikou, Changsha, Ningbo, Foshan, Yan'an, Shaoxing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Zhongshan, Guiyang, Zhengzhou, Urumqi, and Qingdao in China.
Burger King, the world's second-largest catering company, opened its first store in China in Shanghai in June 2005, located on West Nanjing Road, Jing'an District, Shanghai.

The Shenyang Burger King flagship store was launched on May 26, 2013, at Shenyang Joy City, together with Shenyang Star Mall restaurant and Shenyang New World restaurant, forming the "troika" of Burger King Shenyang. In July 2013, the first store in Central China was opened in Wuhan, the largest city in Central China;

The Burger King restaurant in Fuzhou opened on August 28, 2013, at Tahoe Plaza, Wusi North Road, Jin'an District, Fuzhou. This is the first Burger King restaurant opened by Burger King China in Fuzhou, and also the flagship restaurant of Burger King in Fuzhou. Fujian Province will become a key development market for Burger King in South China.
In 2013, Burger King officially entered Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. So far, three Burger King restaurants have opened in Shijiazhuang.
The first Burger King restaurant in Urumqi officially opened at Times Square on January 16, 2014.
Burger King plans to open 1,000 restaurants in China in the next 5-7 years.
