Century Display (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. was established with a joint investment of USD 1.8 billion from the Shenzhen Municipal Government and overseas venture capital, specializing in the design, research and development, testing, and manufacturing of TFT-LCD liquid crystal display panels. The company officially commenced production on December 30, 2008, and successfully achieved LTPS product lighting in December 2011. It introduced internationally advanced IPS/LTPS panel manufacturing technology, built the first fifth-generation liquid crystal panel production line in the Pearl River Delta region, led the transformation and upgrading of the electronics industry, transitioned from an assembly and processing model into the cutting-edge optoelectronics field, and mass-produced liquid crystal displays primarily in small and medium sizes, consistently ranking first in global panel shipments.
The company's products are widely used in 3C electronic display applications, including notebook computers, tablet computers, digital cameras, smartphones, liquid crystal monitors, LCD TVs, automotive displays, medical displays, and other full-range display products. Its customers include the world's top OEM manufacturers and major well-known brand customers. By integrating advanced front-end panel technology with back-end assembly processes, the company has completed an upstream-downstream one-stop strategic layout.
