1987年，在法国里昂市郊的的咖啡厅里。当时其中的尤里斯·勒梅尔（Ulease De Lemaire）与缇埃·阮（Tieai Nguyen），他们因热爱服装文化而成为恋人，在一次交流中，他们提出了酝酿已久的“将年轻文化与时尚进行融合”概念。经过一段时间的实践，他们结合法国时装文化内涵与生活理念，探索出一系列原创艺术设计手法。1989年，他们提倡“个性、自由、摩登、时尚的穿衣方式”的设计理念。同年，建立了U/Ti（尤提）品牌，U/Ti 以“个性、自由、摩登风尚”与“随意、放松、充满时尚想象的文艺特质”作为品牌精神。经过长时间的积累、沉淀，如今U/Ti的品牌态度是，她并非只是单纯地在卖产品，而是传递以及树立一种年轻文化中人与时尚之间相互融合的生活方式。2011年，上海尤缇商贸有限公司获得了法国U/Ti的授权，正式进驻中国市场，陆续在国内各大一线城市与高档商场开设专卖店（厅），将法国艺术原创设计与中国消费者分享。
