Founded in 2004, Wuhu Bethel Automotive Safety Systems Co., Ltd. focuses on the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of automotive chassis systems and intelligent driving systems. It has been successively recognized as one of China's Top 100 Auto Parts Enterprises, a National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise, and a High-tech Enterprise. In 2018, it was listed on the A-share main board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (stock code: 603596).
With the corporate vision of "Making Travel Safer," the company has built its independent R&D and manufacturing capabilities for automotive braking, suspension, steering, lightweight aluminum casting, and intelligent driving products, providing safe and comfortable system solutions for mobility. Products that have been put into mass production include: wire-controlled braking system (WCBS), electronic parking brake system (EPB), electric power steering system (EPS), advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), lightweight aluminum steering knuckles, electric tailgate system (PLG), as well as various brakes, steering columns, and mechanical steering systems. The company has established 17 production bases in Wuhu, Weihai, Tangshan, Suining, Hangzhou, Taizhou, Changxing, Dalian, Kaifeng, Fuzhou, and Saltillo, Mexico, and has set up 7 R&D centers in Wuhu, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Hefei, Xi'an, and Detroit, USA, with over 1,500 R&D technical personnel.
Upholding the philosophy of "Innovation Leads Development," the company is the second globally and the first among Chinese brands to achieve mass production of EPB, the first Chinese brand to mass-produce ESC, and the first Chinese brand to release and mass-produce ONE-BOX wire-controlled braking systems. It has received honors such as the "Innovation Team Award of the China Society of Automotive Engineers Science and Technology Award," "National Specialized, Refined, Differential, and Innovative 'Little Giant' Enterprise," "National Torch Plan Key High-tech Enterprise," "Anhui Province Patent Gold Award," and "Anhui Province Science and Technology Award." Currently, its OEM customers include Chery, GM, Geely, Changan, BAIC, GAC, Li Auto, Dongfeng, SAIC, Leapmotor, Stellantis, Renault, Ford, Nissan, Volvo, Volkswagen, Tata, Toyota, Mazda, Mahindra, XPeng, Hongqi, Jiangling, and JAC. In 2024, the company achieved operating revenue of 9.937 billion RMB.
