Jingyin Biotechnology

Chongqing Jingyin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jingyin Biotechnology") was founded in November 2013 under the leadership of Dr. Xiong Wei, with the aspiration to popularize clinical precision medication. Driven by the research and development and manufacturing of rapid drug gene detection systems, it integrates cutting-edge medical research on neurological diseases with translational medicine applications. It currently has a joint laboratory for rapid drug gene detection co-established with the National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases (hereinafter referred to as the "National Neurological Center"). It is a high-tech enterprise key introduced from overseas by the Chongqing Municipal Government and a National High-tech Enterprise. The company is about to move into its new headquarters building (approximately 17,000 square meters) in Phase II of the Western Science City Science and Innovation Park, funded and constructed by the High-tech Zone Government. It will be built into the National Precise Medical Industry Development (Chongqing) Base for Neurological Diseases and the National Neurological Disease Precision Medicine Research and Translation Platform, and will also host the Southwest Conference Center of the Chinese Stroke Association. The "GMEX Rapid Drug Gene Detection System" (hereinafter referred to as the "GMEX System") independently developed by Jingyin Biotechnology is a domestically leading POCT-mode, fully automated, integrated basic drug detection system (Class III). From 2018 to 2020, in the CHANCE-2 study, a major national research project under China's "13th Five-Year Plan" undertaken by the National Neurological Center, the GMEX System helped the research achieve tremendous success. The CHANCE-2 study was the world's first successful large-scale clinical trial based on pharmacogenomics research to intervene in the treatment of neurological diseases. It rewrote the history of China merely accepting and learning from the West in important medical research achievements. The research results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) on October 28, 2021, and rewrote the Chinese Guidelines for the Secondary Prevention of Ischemic Stroke and Transient Ischemic Attack (published in the Chinese Journal of Neurology on October 14, 2022). The revision of the Chinese guidelines will soon prompt global guideline revisions. Therefore, the GMEX System has become a rapid drug gene detection system that has been published in the New England international medical journal and written into national guidelines.
