Hunan Ocean Container Transportation Co., Ltd. was established on December 30, 2014, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hunan Water Transport Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd.
The company is a *** and *** state-owned inland river shipping enterprise in Hunan Province. Its predecessor was the container transportation division of Hunan Ocean Shipping Company. As the pioneer, builder, and * of Hunan's container water transport industry, over the past 20 years, Hunan Ocean inland feeder services have developed into a mature industry, established a strong brand, and driven the development of Hunan's water transport economy. The company fully implements standardized and refined management, strictly enforces the shore-based ISO9000 quality management system, and has obtained the Level 2 Certificate of Safety Production Standardization for Cross-provincial Shipping Enterprises on the Yangtze River Main Line issued by the Yangtze River Shipping Administration of the Ministry of Transport. It has also obtained the NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operating qualification certificate from the Ministry of Transport.
The company has two wholly-owned subsidiaries: Hunan Ocean International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. and Hunan Ocean Customs Declaration Service, and holds controlling stakes in Changsha Ocean Shipping Agency Co., Ltd., Hunan Ocean Huajing Shipping Co., Ltd., Changsha Electronic Port Co., Ltd., and Hunan Jianghai International Crew Training Service Co., Ltd. It also has branches or offices in Shanghai, Wuhan, Yueyang, Changde, and Hengyang.
