At the end of 2011, in accordance with the relevant spirit of the municipal government, the former Wuhan Geotechnical Investigation and Surveying Institute was renamed Wuhan Institute of Surveying and Mapping, and a wholly-owned company, Wuhan Survey and Design Co., Ltd., was established separately. At the end of 2018, in accordance with the relevant spirit of the municipal party committee and municipal government, the company was wholly transferred to Wuhan 2049 Group Co., Ltd.
