Wowprime Group was founded in December 1990. After more than 20 years of development, it now has over 400 directly-operated stores worldwide. Wowprime Group has always been committed to becoming the world's premier chain catering group. Its mission is to provide customers with high-quality catering cultural experiences through an excellent management team and to fulfill the responsibilities of corporate citizenship. As of early 2025, Wowprime Group owns 24 catering brands and went public in Taiwan, China, on March 6, 2012. Customer-centric, it advocates that 'only dishes that customers like are truly good dishes' and 'only word-of-mouth is the ultimate condition for a restaurant's survival', continuously enriching product categories and culinary styles. In March 2003, Wowprime Group officially entered the mainland market, wholeheartedly adopting an attitude of 'entrepreneurship' rather than 'single-brand expansion'. Currently, Wowprime Group has developed six self-operated brands—Wang Steak, WANG STEAK, Chateau Steak, Amigo, The Wang, and Wagyu Shabu—in nearly 40 cities across the mainland, operating nearly 80 directly-operated stores. 'Take from society, use for society' is Wowprime's philosophy of giving back. In 2001, for Taiwan's 921 earthquake; in 2005, for the Southeast Asian tsunami; in 2006, donating books to Huangkuang Wanjing Primary School, a poverty-stricken school in Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province; in 2008, for the Wenchuan earthquake... Wowprime Group's name has appeared in all these events. In the 2013 Ya'an earthquake, Wowprime Group donated 1 million yuan; in the 2020 Wuhan COVID-19 outbreak, Wang Steak additionally contributed 1.5 million yuan to support Wuhan's fight against the epidemic.
