Beijing Jingdu Children's Hospital has been officially open to the public since 2015. Located in Huilongguan, Changping District, Beijing, it is a large private tertiary children's hospital and a tertiary children's specialty hospital in the northern part of Beijing. It is an international JCI-accredited hospital and a designated medical institution for Beijing's medical insurance. Jingdu Children's Hospital is highly recognized by the industry for its sense of responsibility and medical strength. It was the first to propose a standardized system integrating medical treatment, education, research, service, and capital. The hospital places great emphasis on research investment and talent team development, introducing and cultivating a group of academic leaders and key professionals with high academic influence. The hospital has comprehensive departments covering all fields of pediatric care, with 28 clinical and medical technology departments. Key departments include Hematology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Pediatric Dentistry, General Internal Medicine, Respiratory and Allergy, and Rheumatology and Immunology. Since its official opening on June 1, 2015, the hospital has been praised by leaders at the municipal and district levels for its sense of responsibility and medical strength. It was the first to propose a standardized system integrating medical treatment, education, research, service, and capital. The hospital values research investment and talent team building, introducing and cultivating a number of academic leaders and key professionals with high academic influence. The hospital currently has 756 employees, including 1 recipient of the State Council Special Allowance, 12 medical doctors, 59 master's degree holders, 85 professionals with senior professional titles, and 109 professionals with intermediate professional titles. With the purpose of inheritance, cooperation, innovation, and leadership, the hospital builds a talent team that combines the experience of senior, middle-aged, and young professionals, and various advantageous disciplines are rapidly established. In 2015, Professor Wu Minyuan, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in Pediatrics, joined hands with Professor Sun Yuan to lead the establishment of the Hematology and Oncology Department, which is currently one of the largest children's transplant centers in China, a designated hospital for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in Beijing, and a cooperative hospital for unrelated donor hematopoietic stem cell transplantation of the China Marrow Donor Program. The number of children's transplant patients per year ranks first in Beijing. In 2016, our hospital was awarded the title of "Baby-Friendly Hospital", and in the same year, Professor Dai Yaohua led the establishment of the Child Health Care Department. Based on the characteristics of Chinese children's growth, we have developed a scientific, standardized, and systematic comprehensive child growth and health tracking service model, which has been affirmed and highly praised by the former National Health and Family Planning Commission and UNICEF. Currently, this model has been promoted to maternal and child health hospitals nationwide. In July, we successfully passed the large-scale inspection of tertiary hospitals by the former National Health and Family Planning Commission. In 2017, our hospital officially became a designated medical institution for Beijing's medical insurance, received the title of National Honest Private Hospital, and joined the Beijing Pediatric Specialty Medical Alliance initiated by the People's Liberation Army General Hospital. In the same year, the Pediatric Cardiology Department was established and became a Beijing training base for tertiary prevention of congenital heart disease. The ward is fully equipped, including a preoperative ward, CCU, and recovery room, with over 100 surgeries performed annually. In June 2018, Cai Qi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Committee, visited our hospital for research, expressed recognition and satisfaction with our infrastructure construction and quality medical services, and encouraged our hospital to continue efforts to improve the health level of children in the region! In the same year, our hospital's central laboratory was established, covering an area of 800 square meters, and several domestic and foreign experts were hired as visiting professors. In 2019, our hospital established the Academic Development Committee, including top pediatric experts from various disciplines nationwide. In the same year, departments such as Neurology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, and Stomatology were successively established. The hospital continues to grow and develop, and has been designated as a contracted unit of "International SOS" and "999", and a designated hospital for the rescue, transfer, and consultation of critically ill newborns in Beijing, receiving the highest industry standard certification of "5-star 3A". In early 2020, in the face of the sudden COVID-19 pandemic, our hospital actively responded to the call of the Party and government, bravely undertook social responsibilities, quickly completed the preparatory construction of a 24-hour fever clinic, self-raised more than 3 million yuan to purchase and deploy shelter CT, and dispatched a team of over 100 medical and nursing staff for nucleic acid testing, completing nearly 10,000 nucleic acid sample collection tasks. In May, the hospital obtained the qualification for internet diagnosis and treatment in Beijing, providing more convenient and faster services for children. In June, when the epidemic recurred in Beijing, a support team of 30 medical staff went against the flow to assist Daxing in fighting the epidemic. At the same time, after obtaining nucleic acid testing qualifications, the hospital established a nucleic acid testing laboratory. In July, the hospital passed the review with high scores and obtained international JCI certification. In September, a new leadership team took office, leading the entire hospital in diligent governance, reform, and innovation, opening a new chapter in our hospital's development.
