It was established in Shenzhen on April 1, 2016 with a registered capital of 100 million yuan. China Electronics Technology New Smart City Research Institute Co., Ltd. focuses on three types of business: first, top-level planning, design and consulting for new smart cities; second, consulting, planning, design, construction and operation of urban operation management platforms (including operation of network security centers, operation of consultation and decision-making centers, operation of big data centers, operation of IoT support platforms, etc.); third, building an open-source innovation platform, based on the opening of data resources, technical resources, demand resources and institutional resources, to build an open-source innovation environment and open-source innovation community. Since China CETC signed strategic cooperation agreements with the municipal governments of Shenzhen, Fuzhou and Jiaxing in 2015 to jointly promote the construction of new smart city benchmark cities, various work has made considerable progress, and a series of phased achievements have been formed, including top-level design architecture and standard systems, general functional platforms, and cyberspace security products, which have been highly praised by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission and other relevant ministries and commissions.
