Guangxi Yulin Pharmaceutical Group is a member enterprise of Konsen Pharmaceutical Group (1681.HK). Formerly known as Yulin Pharmaceutical Factory, established in 1956, it is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) pharmaceutical enterprise primarily engaged in the R&D, production, and sales of proprietary Chinese medicines and natural drugs. It was among the first batch of enterprises recognized as "China Time-honored Brand" by the Ministry of Commerce. Yulin Pharmaceutical's business has expanded to areas such as TCM decoction pieces processing, TCM herb cultivation and trading, medicinal hollow capsule manufacturing, and domestic and international trade. Adhering to a market-oriented approach and project-based development, the company strengthens industry-academia-research collaboration, possessing strong product R&D capabilities and a foundation for external technical cooperation. It employs over 360 professional personnel and is one of the earliest enterprises in Guangxi to establish a regional (provincial)-level technology center. The company's main products include Zhenggu Shui (Bone-setting Liquid), Shiduqing Capsules, Jigucao Capsules, Yunxiang Jing, Yinpu Jiedu Tablets, Zhenhuang Capsules (Zhenhuang Pills), Sanqi Shangyao Capsules, covering 9 dosage forms and 74 varieties. Among these, 12 varieties, including Zhenggu Shui, Shiduqing Capsules, and Jigucao Capsules, are national TCM protected varieties. Zhenggu Shui has been included in the "Encyclopedia of Chinese Geographical Indication Products." The company's products are reliable in quality, effective in efficacy, and hold high brand awareness. The company possesses strong capabilities in comprehensive TCM processing and formulation, with an annual production capacity of 1.85 billion capsules, 760 million tablets, and 760,000 liters of tinctures. It has a robust quality assurance system, having passed the Australian TGA GMP certification in 1996 and successfully passed eight subsequent re-inspections, and fully passed the national GMP certification in 2003. The company's production and sales scale exceeds RMB 500 million, with stable operations. Holding self-operated import and export rights, it exports 50 products to over 30 countries and regions, with annual foreign exchange earnings of nearly USD 3 million.
Behind every "China Time-honored Brand" lies stories carrying people's emotions and memories of the times. As one of the first "China Time-honored Brands" recognized by the Ministry of Commerce, Yulin Pharmaceutical traces its origins to the Yulin Xinsheng Pharmaceutical Factory founded in 1951. Rooted in the profound medical culture of Guangxi, it has inherited and developed multiple folk prescriptions, starting with the production of Bogu Shui (later renamed "Zhenggu Shui") and Yunxiang Jing, serving the nation and overseas for over sixty years. Due to their remarkable efficacy, Zhenggu Shui and Yunxiang Jing were listed as nationally protected TCM varieties (Grade II) with their prescriptions protected. Additionally, they were used as military supplies accompanying the Volunteer Army into the Korean battlefield, and to this day, Zhenggu Shui remains favored by PLA soldiers.
