Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd., founded in 1951, is a large state-owned enterprise group centered on power systems and implementing concentric diversification. The company owns more than 20 wholly-owned, holding, and participating second-level subsidiaries, involving three major industry segments: engine manufacturing and its industrial chain, logistics and supply chain services, and new energy industry and related services. It has industrial bases in Guangxi, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Chongqing, Liaoning, and other places.
Yuchai Group has an annual operating revenue of nearly 50 billion yuan, and has been selected among the world's top 100 auto parts enterprises, China's top 500 enterprises, China's top 100 mechanical industry enterprises, and China's 500 most valuable brands. The company's main products include diesel engines, gas engines, hybrid power, pure electric power, as well as construction machinery, sanitation equipment, special equipment, and engine parts, providing products and service support to customers in more than 180 countries and regions around the world.
In the field of engine R&D, Yuchai has innovation and R&D platforms such as a national enterprise technology center, the National Engineering Research Center for Internal Combustion Engines, a national accredited laboratory, a postdoctoral research workstation, and an academician and expert enterprise workstation. It has taken the lead in launching the world's first power-split plug-in hybrid, China's first China VI diesel engine, and China's first commercial vehicle hydrogen-fueled engine, among other pioneering products. To date, the company has produced and sold over 10 million engines cumulatively, and its scientific research achievements have won the National Science and Technology Award six times, been nominated for the China Quality Award twice, and ranked first in the national evaluation of enterprise technology centers.
