Nemak

Nemak, a manufacturer of aluminum automotive components, specializes in producing high-tech automotive engine aluminum cylinder heads, cylinder blocks, transmission components, and other structural parts. It is committed to becoming a leading enterprise in the global automotive industry.
Nemak is part of the Alfa Group, the second-largest industrial group in Mexico, and was founded in 1979 in Monterrey, Mexico. Nemak has established 35 plants across 15 countries in Asia, Europe, and the Americas, employing over 20,000 people. Nemak supplies components to some of the world's most powerful automobile manufacturers, with major customers including General Motors, Ford, Daimler-Chrysler, Toyota, Volkswagen, Peugeot-Citroën, Fiat, BMW, Hyundai, Kia, and Chery. In 2014, its sales revenue reached $4.5 billion.
With the rapid growth of Nemak's global business, expanding into the Asian market has become one of its strategic priorities. In 2007, Nemak acquired the former Nanjing TEXID Cast Aluminum Co., Ltd., and in 2009, it was renamed Nanjing Nemak Cast Aluminum Co., Ltd., serving as its first plant in Asia, producing engine cylinder blocks and heads. In October 2016, the company was renamed again to Nemak (Nanjing) Automotive Components Co., Ltd. Additionally, Nemak established Asian product R&D centers in Nanjing and Chongqing.
In 2012, Nemak established its second plant in China, Nemak (Chongqing) Automotive Components Co., Ltd., in the Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing, which was officially renamed in October 2016. This plant primarily supplies automotive engine cylinder blocks and other components to Changan Ford.
