Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automobile Co., Ltd. was established in November 2012, jointly funded by Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. and Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC of the UK, with a 50:50 equity ratio. The total planned investment for the first phase of the project is RMB 10.9 billion.

The headquarters of the joint venture is located in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province. Currently, the joint venture has built a world-class vehicle manufacturing base, and its R&D center with independent vehicle development capabilities has been essentially completed and put into use. The first model of Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automobile Co., Ltd. – the China-made Range Rover Evoque – was launched on February 1, 2015. In the future, it will produce and sell other Land Rover models, Jaguar models, and joint venture self-owned brand models tailored for the Chinese market.

As a leading British luxury automaker, Jaguar Land Rover provides strong support for its global development strategy with extensive experience, technology, and capabilities in the automotive industry.
